Caran d’Ache pays tribute to its Geneva heritage and to the artisanal excellence that have shaped the Maison’s identity since its founding. As its birthplace and a source of inspiration, Geneva becomes the beating heart of this Limited Edition, featuring 18-carat gold plating and enhanced by a pearlescent burgundy lacquer with a glossy finish.
Traditionally devoted to depicting bucolic scenes and stories of everyday life, Toile de Jouy is reinvented here as a narrative landscape of Geneva. The guilloché engraving featuring the Geneva Toile de Jouy motif reveals, through a succession of finely drawn vignettes, the city’s iconic landmarks: the famous Jet d’Eau, the Mont-Blanc Bridge, and Place du Bourg-de-Four, home to the Caran d’Ache boutique in the heart of the Old Town.
These fragments of the city, delicately drawn by hand, come together to form a continuous visual narrative. Linked by connecting elements such as clouds and a hot-air balloon, the scenes evoke a poetic stroll through Geneva. Limited to 60 pieces per writing instrument type, each piece is individually numbered “1 in 60” with an engraving on the back of the button, making this creation a true collector’s item.

Inspired by Toile de Jouy, the Toile de Jouy Bordeaux Fountain Pen Prestige Edition pays tribute to Geneva, the birthplace of Caran d’Ache. Designed by Suzanne Pinon, the motif features a succession of iconic city scenes, finely engraved in 18-carat gold.
Its raised design brings the material to life, offering a unique visual and tactile experience. The signature button draws inspiration from the dome of the Botanical Garden and is adorned with a garnet or tiger’s eye cabochon. Between 250 and 300 hours were devoted to the design and prototyping of this exceptional creation.
